Property Owners Branch Organisation in Gothenburg

The Property Owners’ Branch Seminar day gather over 300 professional branch representatives to Clarion Hotel Post. The focus is on the commercial real estate market and office real estate development in the Gothenburg region. Furbish’s Ulrike Rahe introduces the branch to Smart and sustainable offices.


Single houses are not more energy efficient than multifamily houses

Holger Wallbaum was co-author of a debate article on energy efficiency of residential buildings in the Swedish newspaper GP. The authors replied to an article that has been published earlier in GP and stating that single houses are more energy efficient than multifamily houses and Sweden should build more of those. Holger Wallbaum stated that this argumentation dies not make sense and the authors neglected very important aspects and their recommendation is not build up on solid ground.

New member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, IVA

Furbish’s Holger Wallbaum is very honoured to be elected as a new member in the division III “Building and construction” of the very prestigious Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (Kungliga Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademien/IVA). IVA has 1,300 elected Swedish and international members. They are leading decision-makers, experts and researchers from the private sector, academia and public administration. His majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf is the patron.

World Sustainable Built Environment Conference goes Gothenburg

“The conference is a unique opportunity for us to present Chalmers, Gothenburg and all of Sweden on an international stage, and specifically how we address issues about a sustainable built environment.”

Furbish’s Holger Wallbaum has been appointed to host the World Sustainable Built Environment conference in Gothenburg in 2020. The conference is only held every three years and is considered the world’s most prestigious conference and forum in the field. A great success for Sweden and the city of Gothenburg who succeeds Hong Kong, which hold the conference in June 2017 with more than 2000 from all around the world.

Office insights conference in Gothenburg

Furbish’s Ulrike Rahe guests as a keynote speaker on a regular basis Office Insights, a Swedish national network conference, gathering academics as well as public and private organisations for sharing the latest research and experiences on offices, work environment and activity-based working methods.

New Design is presented at International Interzum Fair 2017

At Interzum in Cologne/Germany, a new and innovative flexible storage system is presented to the public. It is based on 5G Click Technology by Välinge. Designers behind are Carl Christofferson and rahe+rahe design. The furniture is different to anything else on the market and fits the requirements of a new generation of sustainable, flexible and customizable office. It is reusable, due to its assembly on site with a simple Click, which eliminates transportation of unnecessary volumes. It is made of a green certified material: SWISSCDf.

European Patent filed, owned by FurbishTM

Dr. Christian Marx from University of Hanover/Germany (former colleague at Chalmers University of Technology) and Furbish’s Ulrike Rahe are inventors to an EP owned by FurbishTM, describing a new product-service system for offices, bridging the gap between interior of the office and the facility management.
