First results on indoor environmental qualities of office buildings presented in Ghent/Belgium

The Smart and Sustainable Office team, represented by Dr. Quan Jing, presented its first findings on perceived indoor environmental qualities and the influence of the outer climate of five office buildings in Switzerland at the 14th Indoor Air conference. The finding will support the development of clear benchmarking values. The findings are considered in the Furbish methodological approach (link to the method part on Furbish website).

Energy efficiency through smart renovation

Coordinated by Furbish’s Holger Wallbaum, the research project DREEAM funded under the Horizon 2020 research program framework of the European Commission, published its approach in Sciene Impact today. The journal is send to the leading decision makers and European Parliament members throughout Europe. The article sheds light on how the renovation of the existing building stock, the consideration of renewable energy systems and a smarter energy management can contribute to achieve the European energy goals and to make the Paris Climate agreement a reality.
