Single houses are not more energy efficient than multifamily houses

Holger Wallbaum was co-author of a debate article on energy efficiency of residential buildings in the Swedish newspaper GP. The authors replied to an article that has been published earlier in GP and stating that single houses are more energy efficient than multifamily houses and Sweden should build more of those. Holger Wallbaum stated that this argumentation dies not make sense and the authors neglected very important aspects and their recommendation is not build up on solid ground.

World Sustainable Built Environment Conference goes Gothenburg

The conference is only held every three years and is considered the world’s most prestigious conference and forum in the field. A great success for Sweden and the city of Gothenburg who succeeds Hong Kong, which hold the conference in June 2017 with more than 2000 from all around the world.

Energy efficiency through smart renovation

Coordinated by Furbish’s Holger Wallbaum, the research project DREEAM funded under the Horizon 2020 research program framework of the European Commission, published its approach in Sciene Impact today. The journal is send to the leading decision makers and European Parliament members throughout Europe. The article sheds light on how the renovation of the existing building stock, the consideration of renewable energy systems and a smarter energy management can contribute to achieve the European energy goals and to make the Paris Climate agreement a reality.
